South Carolina’s only accredited HERS rater training organization.

HEG is a RESNET Provider, a LEED for Homes Provider through the US Green Building Council, and a BPI training affiliate. Instructors, Claude and Nancy St. Hilaire provide a practical training approach for you to enter the Home Energy Rater profession.

Course Outline

HERS Rater training is designed to prepare candidates to take the RESNET National Core Competency Exam which is the first step to becoming a certified HERS Rater.  This 5-day format class includes a review of basic energy concepts, field experience with blower door testing and duct leakage testing, training on the latest version of RemRate rating software, and a field rating on a home.

This course will prepare the student to take the RESNET HERS rater exam
